Aylesford is a large Parish in the Kent M2/M20 corridor. It includes Aylesford, Eccles, Blue Bell Hill Village, parts of Walderslade, Kits Coty and Pratling Street.
The Parish Council’s responsibilities include: promoting the interests of the Parish at all levels; providing and promoting recreational facilities. It grants donations to voluntary organisations. The Parish Council is also a consultee for Planning Applications it receives from the Planning Authority Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council.
Whilst Parish Council Policy is increasingly focused on facilitating services, some services are provided directly by the Council and these include street lights, four car parks, Aylesford Cemetery, Allotments in Aylesford and Eccles and seven public open spaces, six of these have play equipment.
